I watched helplessly that my CPT-8000 phone system in my 2001 740i became obsolete and useless, as Verizon would no longer service it and BMW refused to provide an upgrade for the system. That's until I discovered a company called Bimmernav which put together a Bluetooth retrofit kit using OEM parts and technology from BMW. The
kit completely restored the handsfree and voice activation functionality of my in-car phone and navigation systems. The end result is fantastic and I am absolutely thrilled that my beloved E38 740i now works the way it was designed again. I owe a deep gratitude to the good people at Bimmernav who made it possible. This is a 5-star recommendation!..
