Brand new BMW E38 Navigation retrofit harness.

This original BMW wiring harness is used for retrofitting navigation in the BMW E38 FOR USING THE NEW STYLE BMW BM53 Radio. This plug and play harness simply needs to be run the length of the BMW from front to back. This plug and play harness plugs directly into the radio plug of the 2001 and earlier E38 7 Series. This harness does NOT require splicing of wires, but simply plugging directly into the back of the radio wiring plug

This harness has optional connections for the BMW Auxiliary input connection and CD input wiring run to the front of the car perfect for installing the BMW Aux input connection in the glovebox. This CD input wiring supports the optional ipod, intravee or in-glovebox nakamichi CD changer input in the glovebox. The harness has been pre-configured for the optimal BMW navigation retrofit capability. Harness supports BMWs with or without DSP amp.

In order to fully retrofit navigation in the E38 7 series, you will need this harness, the navigation bracket kit, the navigation computer, navigation display and a BM53 radio. Bimmernav offers all of these parts on our webstore. Please note, much older BMW E38s with the old style P-Ibus CD changers may not be fully supported by the BM53 radios, and will need to be upgraded to the newer I bus E38 cd changers. ***Please note that this harness is for installing navigation using the BM53 or BM54 Euro Radio only and can not be used with the older navigation radio modules.
