Intravee Menus on BMW Sat Nav Screen
RETURN TO ORDER PAGE

The following pictures are photographs of an actual BMW 16:9 Navigation screen. The top two pictures show the display that a standard (European) BMW CD changer would display at all times. The other pictures show the various menus and sub-menus that are available using the Intravee protocol converter.

The BMW display can be put into two modes - split screen and wide screen. For each screen shown below, an example of split and wide is shown.

Please note that these pictures were taken of an Intravee running Beta development firmware. Actual menu content is subject to change prior to product launch.

Split Standard Wide Standard
Standard BMW display using either a BMW CD Changer or an aftermarket protocol adapter. Notice lack of text, folder information and simple menus that only allow selection of CDs 1 to 6. When using the BMW changer or other aftermarket adapter this is the ONLY screen that is available. The Intravee II introduces many new screens and these are shown below.

Split Main Menu Wide Main Menu
Intravee II Main screen. Shows Disc, folder and track numbers, Track file name 'Can't Stop' and folder name 'So Far So Good' along with track elapsed time. Below that there is a menu of items which the user can select from using the turn wheel and clicking. This screen shows the Intravee Main Menu.

Split CD Control Menu Wide CD Control Menu
This is a sub menu from the main menu. It allows access to further menus. The user can click on 'Back' to return to the previous menu.

Split ID3 Info Wide ID3 Info
This is the Main 'ID3 Info' Screen. It displays the ID3 information of the currently playing track - Album, Artist and Track title. The CD Search menu can be accessed from here too. Clicking on the '- ID3 Info -' causes the ID3 information to be refreshed from the changer.

Split Setup Menu Wide Setup Menu
This is a sub-menu that allows access to further setup menus.

Split Status Info Wide Status Info
Setup screen shows the firmware version number, the total accumulated runtime of the Intravee, the number of times the Intravee has been turned on and the total number of fatal errors that have been encountered. These are of use for debugging during development and will likely be removed in the final version.

Split Search Menu Wide Search Menu
This is the main CD search screen. From here you can look through folders for a particular track while the current track continues to play. Begin by selecting the required folder by clicking on Prev or Next folder. Then use Prev and Next track to select the desired track within the folder. Notice that instead of clicking on an item with the turn wheel, you can also press the buttons 1 to 5 to select the correspoinding item directly.

Split CD Info 1 Wide CD Info 1
This is the CD selection screen. Here you can select a CD from 1 to 6. This screen shows you which CDs are present and their type (MP3 or Audio). In future this screen will show the CD's title. Note that a disc can be selected at any time, without the need to be on this screen, by pressing the buttons 1 to 6. The exception to this rule is when on the CD Search screen which uses the buttons 1 to 6 for short cut keys (see the description of CD Search above for more details).

Split Play Mode Menu Wide Play Mode Menu
This is a sub-menu that allows selection of various play modes (see below).

Split Intro Scan Menu Wide Scan Menu
This screen allows you to turn on the Intro Scan play mode. This will play the first few seconds of a track then go to the next track and so on.

Split Pause Menu Wide Pause Menu
Here you can pause the currently playing track and then resume playback again.

Split Random Menu Wide Random Menu
This screen allows you to turn on the random play mode. You can choose to play tracks randomly from the current folder only or from the entire disc.

Split Repeat Menu Wide Repeat Menu
This screen allows you to repeatedly play the current track, the folder or the entire disc.
